Beerology in the News

It’s been an exciting few months since I achieved my Master CiceroneTM certification, in December, becoming the first Master CiceroneTM in Canada. I’ve been delighted to see the attention that this certification has received across a range of different media outlets and publications. I am particularly happy to note that publications outside of the beer sphere have picked up the story and am quite hopeful that these articles will reach a broader audience, exposing new people to the idea of beer appreciation.
I also wanted to extend a warm thanks to the many beer bloggers who supported me by spreading the word about my certification. It’s fantastic to be working in such a supportive and enthusiastic community.
Here are some of the articles and segments that have mentioned my certification since December:

May 1, TAPS Magazine
May 1, Canadian Living
April 12, Product Magazine
March 4, Canadian Business
February 6, Büze
January 30, The Grid
January 7, Ontario Restaurant News
December 28, City Centre Mirror
CBC Radio, Here and Now December 17th, 2012:
Global Television, The Morning Show, January 15th, 2013

Thanks Mirella for coming to Thunder Bay and giving us a fascinating lesson on pairing artisan beers & cheese. You’ve opened up my mind to how good beer can be especially when paired with the right cheese. Thanks!

Mirella, I came across an article about you and your passion for Beer. Lately, I’ve been getting inspiration from around the inter-webs to pursue the Cicerone program, and a drive to begin home brewing again.
Thank you for what you do, and the contribution it has made to my burgeoning craft beer education.
Cheers!
