I won a beer award!
Posted October 22, 2012 | 9:30 am, by Mirella
I was delighted to receive an award for Food and Beer Matching Development from the Ontario Craft Brewers Association on the weekend. This was one of the Ontario Craft Brewers Centre of Excellence Industry Choice Awards that were handed out at the first ever Ontario Craft Brewers Conference. Here’s what the awards were about:
The goal of these industry awards is to recognize examples of excellence among small, medium and large organizations, supporting the craft brewing industry at the local, regional, national or international level.
It did mean a lot to me to receive the nomination, and to be recognized by the local beer industry. I wanted to take a moment to give a shout-out to my fellow nominees in the category, who are super-fantastic:
- Greg Clow: Canadian Beer News Dinner Series
- F&M Brewery
I am also extremely thankful to everyone who took the time to vote for me (THANK YOU!!!) This is my first beer-relate award and I must say it’s pretty exciting.
Here are the winners of the other Ontario Craft Brewers Centre of Excellence Industry Choice Awards in other categories:
- Product Quality/Process Innovation: Wellington Brewery
- Marketing Innovation: Beau’s All Natural Brewing
- Education Leadership: Niagara College Teaching Brewery
- Food & Beer Matching Development: Mirella Amato, Beerology
- Sustainability Accomplishments: Beau’s All Natural Brewing
- Community Building: National Capital Craft Beer Week
Thanks again to all of you for your support!
